We’ve compiled the answers from our most frequently asked questions to share everything you need to know in planning and booking Woolley Village Hall.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes. Cancellations can be made up to 7 days prior to the start of your hire for a full refund. Cancelations made after this time are liable to a fee of 50% of the hire cost.

How do I pay for my hire?

Payments are made at the time of booking. By bank transfer, cheques or cash.

What times can I access the hall during my hire?

For hourly bookings you have access from the start of your hire. You are given a free courtesy hour at the end of your booking to clean up and tidy away. For full day and multi-day hires you have full access to the hall from 8am until 12pm.

Is there a kitchen?

Yes. A fully equipped kitchen is available for catering and food preparation for £20 per hire. It features two modern electric ovens with large electric hob, crockery, cutlery and glassware for water, a catering dishwasher, two under counter fridges, microwave, water boiler, kettles, heated stainless steel food trolley, food preparation areas and separate sinks. Use of the kitchen is always charged for parties.

Is the hall wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The hall has step free disabled access and a fully equipped disabled toilet.

Is there an outdoor area?

Yes. A large outdoor area with patio can be used during your hire. In addition, guests are free to use the large recreation field and village playground situated around the hall. Strictly no dogs.

Is there a bar?

Yes. A separate bar area with fridge, sink, glasses and seating is available for £30 per hire. Bar staff may be arranged subject to availability for an additional fee.

How many people can be seated for a meal?

We provide tables and chairs to comfortably seat 80 guests in the main hall. An additional 20 guests can be seated in the adjoining bar area.

Is there parking?

Yes. Street parking around the village green, but please be mindful that Woolley is a small village and residents need access to their homes.

Do you supply tables and chairs?

Yes. We provide 100 chairs and 14 tables. 10 tables measuring 120 by 56 cm and 2 tables measuring 232 by 56 cm. There is additional seating in the bar area for 20 guests. Hirers are obliged to store all tables and chairs as found.

How do I get access to the hall during my hire?

You will be met at the hall by a member of Woolley Village Hall. They will provide access and answer any questions you have.

Can I book a regular recurring slot for a club?

Yes. We offer reduced rates for regular bookings. Please see the Rates page for more details.

Do you offer preferential rates for Woolley village residents?

Yes. We offer reduced rates for residents of the Civic Parish including, Woolley Village, Woolley Grange and Haigh. Please see the Rates page for more details.

Do you have conditions of hire and other policies?

Do you have an alcohol licence?

Yes. Woolley Village Hall holds a Premises license from WMDC (PL0778). Our bar Licencee is Mr Vernon Copley.

Do you have a PA or other Audio/Video equipment?

No. You are free to bring your own and use it during your hire.

Do you provide cleaning supplies and equipment?

Yes. A hoover, brooms and other equipment are available to use when tidying away after your hire. They can be found in the store room between the toilets.

Do I need to tidy the hall after my hire?

Yes. Our hall is run by volunteers so we do appreciate people helping us to keep it looking neat and tidy.

How do I lockup after my hire?

A member of Woolley Village Hall will meet you at the end of your hire to lockup.

What hire durations do you offer?
